In accordance with the UK's Distance Selling Regulations (http://www.oft.gov.uk/advice_and_resources/resource_base/legal/distance-selling-regulations/), items may be returned within one week (7 days) for full refund, provided you contact us first for a Return Authorisation Number and return the item properly packed and insured (if of a value greater than GBP20). Occasionally there may be information, typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order). We will immediately inform you if the correction substantially affects the validity of the order.
Book Descriptions:
Neat ownership inscriptions or dedications are not always detailed. We try to give a fair and reasonable impression of the condition of each book. Ex-lib: former library book where the only indication of such ownership is a library stamp, and/or bookplate and perhaps a reference number, on the front endpapers (anything more intrusive will be detailed). Yellowing of pages due to age and type of paper will not be an excuse to return a book. (If we consider the discoloration to be abnormal, we will mention it in the description). Minor rust marks and spotting, foxing will be mentioned and the price of the book adjusted accordingly. 19th-20th century books will invariably have signs of ageing and good common sense should be applied as any book of this age will have signs of usage. Any defects, staining, water damage, loose binding, defacing, missing illustrations/pages, and anything else that we feel detracts from the condition and value of the book will be detailed.
